I recently stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel in Krems for a short spa getaway. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the river and old town, with a lovely view of the surrounding hills and vineyards. The room was spacious and well kept, with a comfortable temperature at night. The staff were friendly, professional, and supportive throughout my stay. The food in the restaurant was of overall tasty and high quality, although the breakfast could have had a wider choice and variety. The hotel also had a fantastic spa area, with a well-kept pool and sauna.

I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The restaurant is overpriced. The ambience in the restaurant is very nice, the restaurant staff is polite and obliging, however, the taste of the food is boring.

when did hotels stop putting clocks in the rooms? and no way to read the one on the TV without turning on the TV. Other than that everything was fine.

We liked the location of the hotel just outside of Krems with a lovely swimming pool built into the side of the hill. Great view over Krems. Comfortable, good sized bedroom. Buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly and most spoke English. Spa facilities available but we didn't make use of them so can't comment on them.

Due to the hotel being built on the side of a steep hill, it is quite a demanding uphill climb for the last few hundred yards on returning to the hotel from the town centre but it's ok if you are reasonably fit.

The hotel offers a great lookout point over the Wachau area, with stunning views of the wine-mountains and the karikaturmuseum, both just a few minutes away and definitely worth a visit. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with clean bathrooms. The staff is helpful and friendly, providing great service. The breakfast is delicious and there is a terrace where you can enjoy your meal. The hotel also has a gym and wellness area, perfect for relaxation.

There was an issue with the pillows, as they were not comfortable.

Fantastic room with balcony, bathtub, and ample space. Great room service experience, with breakfast brought to our room by friendly employee. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Stunning views and convenient location for exploring the area. Nice breakfast options.

Location only good as long as you have a car... otherwise you will have to walk about 10 minutes upwards to get to the hotel
